Our Skate Camp series is back!
In partnership with Hood River Valley Parks & Rec, we’re happy to offer coaching, supervision, games and prizes at Hood River’s Rotary Skatepark all summer long. We invite all ability levels, every weekday, from 10am - 3pm.
(Scooters welcome too!)

“My kids loved this camp! It was their favorite one of the summer because the coaching staff were so supportive and fun.”
— Patrick G.
“I was really impressed with how much our daughter actually learned on her skateboard. We’ll definitely be signing up for another session.”
— Sam P.
“Hood River has needed a program like this down at the skatepark. Psyched to see it coming together.”
— Dawn G.

The main goal of Hood River Skateboarding is to encourage a more cohesive skate community through coaching, camps, work-parties, events, connections and friendships. Skateboarding is an excellent activity for youth-enrichment in terms of building self respect and resiliency. You can learn more about our values on the ‘about’ page here.
A secondary goal of ours is to find an indoor facility where we can build out a proper skatepark for year-round programs and events. If you know of any spaces close-in to Hood River in the 4000 - 8000 square foot range, please get in touch.

We do!
Our coaches set their availability in the scheduling section of the ‘Coaching’ page. You can sign up for one-on-one sessions, or add friends to the session when you sign up. For now, all lessons happen at the Hood River Skatepark (aka: Rotary Skatepark) but in the future we are hoping to offer year-round opportunities to skate as we continue to search for an applicable facility with an open-minded landlord.

If you head over to the Calendar page, you’ll see a schedule of our upcoming work-parties and events. If you’re interested in coaching, you can start by emailing us with a brief statement of why you think you’d be a good fit. We could always use help with event planning, posting up flyers, administration, photo/video, product fulfillment, and supervision at the Hood River Skatepark, so feel free to reach out if any of that interests you.

We’ve recently added a fundraising page to this site with a multi-phased approach to improving upon what so many dedicated citizens have built here at the Hood River Skatepark. We hope to honor their past efforts and evolve this space with gratitude towards the park itself, the City of Hood River, Hood River Valley Parks and Rec, the Rotary Club, and everyone who has helped make this space a reality.
